The 2nd EO-SAT Summer School on “Earth Observation Techniques for Monitoring Volcanic and Seismic Hazards” will offer basic skills and an updated view of current and future EO techniques for volcanic and seismic hazard monitoring.
The School will complement the Master EO-SAT for in-depth study of EO applications to these specific topics. It will also offer MoS and PhD students, and professionals from the private and public sectors, the opportunity to strengthen their background in such a challenging topic.
The School benefits from the best international expertise from Academia, Research Centres and private companies which operate in the EO sector.

Suggested, offering better connections to Potenza, (to take the free shuttle bus for Nova Siri on September 13 at 4 PM)
Naples International Airport (NAP). Distance from Potenza: ~160 km.
Rome Fiumicino (FCO). Distance from Potenza: ~350 km
Other solutions
Bari Karol Wojtyla Airport (BRI). Distance from Nova Siri: ~150 km (93 miles) / 1.5 to 2 hours drive.
Brindisi Salento Airport (BDS). Distance from Nova Siri ~160 km (100 miles) / 2 hours drive.
🚆 Train & Public Transport to reach Potenza:
You can use Italy's rail network (Trenitalia or Italo) or Bus (e.g. Kombo) to reach Potenza from Naples or Rome
🚌 Shuttle Transfer from Potenza to Nova Siri
A free shuttle from Potenza (leaving at 4 PM from the external Parking of the University pole of Macchia Romana) to Giardini d'Oriente Village will be available on September 13th for Summer School participants. To reach the meeting point from Potenza Central Railway Station (Potenza Centrale or Potenza Inferiore), several public buses are available (line 1A is the direct one, but note that no bus service is scheduled on Sunday, 13th, from 1 PM to 4 PM) and useful trains for the Macchia Romana Station (at 5 min walking distance from the meeting point). Additionally, taxis are also available (approximately 10€). Ask the driver to stop at the University Pole of Macchia Romana (ticketing is also available onboard for 1.50€; see the app for details).🚌 Shuttle Transfer from Nova Siri Marina to Potenza
A free shuttle from Giardini d'Oriente Village to Potenza will be available on the evening of September 18th 7:30 PM for Summer School participants.
