The 1ˢᵗ EO-SAT Summer School on “Earth Observation Techniques for Infrastructures monitoring” will offer the basic skills and updated view on the present and future EO techniques devoted to strategic infrastructures monitoring from Space. The School will complement the Master EO-SAT for indepth study of EO applications to this specific topics. It will also offer to MoS and PhD students, and to professionals from the private and public sectors, the opportunity to strengthening their background on a such challenging topic. The School benefit of the best international expertises from Academia, Research Centres and private companies which operate in the EO sector.

How to reach Maratea
🚗 By Car
From the north: A3 motorway (Salerno–Reggio Calabria), exit at Lagonegro Nord–Maratea, then take the SS585. Recommended exits: Maratea Centro (via Trecchina) or Maratea Sud (via Castrocucco).
From the south: A3 exit at Lauria Sud, then follow SP3 and SS585.
From Puglia: SS106 to Policoro, then Sinnica to Lauria, and finally SS585 to Maratea.

Maratea is on the Rome–Naples–Reggio Calabria line. Multiple Intercity and Eurostar trains stop there, especially in summer.

A free shuttle from Potenza to Hotel Pianeta Maratea will be available in the early afternoon of September 7th for Summer School participants.

A free shuttle from Hotel Pianeta Maratea to Potenza will be available on the evening of September 12th for Summer School participants.

The Summer School is primarily aimed at Master EO-SAT students and at additional >10 graduates in STEM disciplines.
40 hours
The program includes lectures, practice labs and personal study. The teaching language is English.

The costs of food, accommodation, and transfer (just A/R from Potenza to Maratea) are covered by the EO-SAT Project funded by MUR.
